Under the partnership, Fuji Xerox is integrating Memjet technology and components into a roll-fed 42" wide format solution targeted at technical and production graphics applications. The combination of speed, color and print quality (up to 1600 x 1600 dpi) are unmatched by traditional wide format offerings. Combining the latest in technology with a retro-cool look and feel from 45 years ago, the Fujifilm FinePix X100 is perhaps the most highly anticipated camera of the year.
Although at first glance while it can be confused with a classic rangefinder camera (intentionally, of course), the Fuji X100 is not a rangefinder. Sharing the solid construction and major controls of film cameras mostly long gone, this is a professional grade compact digital camera with a fixed focal length (35mm f/2 equivalent) lens and the world’s first Hybrid optical and electronic viewfinder.

I bought a green XP10 because I love spending time in the water. I find that, outdoors during the day, the XP10 takes pictures with excellent clarity and excellent color saturation and contrast. Using fill-in flash in daylight truly enhances the picture. Indoors, because the XP10 lacks Fuji’s legendary SuperCCD technology, picture quality is average for a compact or super-compact camera. It does have two natural-scene modes where it boosts the ISO (light sensitivity of the image sensor) at the expense of increased noise. I bought my XP10 to be used outdoors, in the pool and at the beach, so I haven’t taken many indoor pics.

Panoramic heaven with the TX-1 | Japan Camera Hunter
Here you go, something that you don’t get to see everyday. The quirky and interesting Fujifilm TX-1 panoramic film camera. This camera is a bit different from your regular 35mm film camera, in that you can switch it to panoramic mode, which automatically widens the shutter plane (pretty cool to look at). When you do this you will get approximately 21 shots from a 36 exposure film.
The TX-1 was built in conjunction with Hassleblad and branded as the X-Pan in Europe and America. Basically it was the same camera, although the X-Pan had a black finish. This was an unusual team up for Hasselblad who were more used to working with Zeiss. But it was a secret match made in heaven, they managed to make a robust and solid camera that keeps on going in no small part thanks to the solid Fuji engineering. The TX-1 sports a tough Titanium body and feels weighty in the hand. The functions are simple and easy to find, and the camera sits comfortably in the hand.

Zesto to open restaurant at Crossroads Village Center
Zesto Pizza & Grill, a Philadelphia-based restaurant chain, will open a 4,900-square-foot restaurant — its first in the Baltimore region — at the Crossroads Village Center. The company signed a lease with St. John Properties, the Baltimore real estate development firm that is developing substantial portions of the office and retail components of Baltimore Crossroads@95, a 1,000-acre, mixed-use business community on Route 43 near Interstate 95 in White Marsh.
